Sales Director - GE Energy - Ontario


Job description
The Sales and Commercial Director for GE Energy Management Services leads the Canadian Commercial Teams (Industrial Solutions - Services Sales and Commercial Operations and Power Conversation - Services Sales and Global RMS Commercial Operations teams) in the sales of field services and repair solutions for rotating machines, power delivery, power utilization and automation equipment and systems.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead the Commercial teams to deliver the overall orders targets for the region.
Mentor/train the overall commercial teams to drive growth.
Establish the commercial strategy, performance metrics and drive action / results.

Own and deliver on regional sales, orders, profitability, and ITO quality goals.
Commercial leadership on key Service/RMS proposals.
Support team in the overall bid strategy.
Identify and develop new business opportunities to maintain and grow the sales pipeline.
Document competitors' activities and assess potential market moves.
Make commercial presentations to all levels of customers' organization.
Provide input for NPI programs and introduce new services/products to sales/service teams and clients.
Utilize and keep current sales digitization tools and drive that culture with the commercial/sales team.

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications/Requirements:
8+ yrs of technical experience in power delivery including knowledge of MV Switchgear, Power Transformers, and protection & control relays.
8+ yrs of technical experience in power utilization including variable speed Drives, Automation and Large Motors.
5+ yrs of experience in Sales direct with End User customers in the O&G, Metals, Mining, Paper, Power Gen or other General Industries.
5+ yrs of sales leadership experience.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
Desired Characteristics:
Knowledge of Power Conversion and Industrial Solutions product and service offerings.

Experience leading contract terms negotiations.
Previous experience in proposal development role.

Greenbelt certification (current GE Employees only).
