Job description
Reporting to the Leader of the Enterprise Business Division this position is responsible for the (Enterprise/B2B only, not retail) Print Business. The incumbent is responsible to provide strategic direction in all aspects of the Print Business in Canada which includes Channel sales, Distribution Sales, Product Marketing, Spend Management, & Supply Chain management. The incumbent will lead and communicate on product priorities, sales strategies, go to market strategies and owns the implementation of the strategies. The incumbent will also lead and motivate personnel to ensure new product development effectiveness and marketplace acceptance, manage the current product offering while planning the future product roadmap and migration path strategies, and to provide cost effective and quality marketing and divisional communication.
The incumbent will regularly manage, mentor and develop staff and performs sales related administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and oversight over all print activities, including P&L management, Global Business Manager (GBM) engagement (key contact for Head Quarters)
Responsible for building sales growth within the print category including Enterprise customer sales
Proactively assesses, clarifies and validates channel coverage model
Develop and maintain strong partner relationships with other functional/business groups
Provides oversight to prevent strategies/programs that may lead to conflicts with other channel partners
Conveys and informs product strategies between Regional offices and product marketing teams in order to meet performance objectives
Ensures partners within receive updates on our product rollouts and other business activities
Promotes Samsung channel and product training programs
Identifies and recommends new partner relationships and recommends discontinuation of existing partner relations as appropriate
Collaborate with strategic services team (solutions, pre/post sales and service) that best address partner and end customer needs and ensure proper escalation of issues, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary SECA stakeholders
Oversees the creation and implementation of all pricing, programs and marketing promotions, working closely with the Business Manager for alignment and support
Oversees the Product Marketing team and Channel Sales team and collaborates with the Key Accounts team to execute on the sales & marketing plan
Have a clear understanding of both channel partners and end user needs, set budgetary guidelines, evaluate market conditions and plan all related activities
Examines the life cycle and functionality of Samsung’s product line-ups to strategically orchestrate penetration points and volume to ensure Sales targets exceeded
Proactively manages operations components that affect health of the Printer business, with specific emphasis on Inventory management (at Samsung and in channel), Supply Chain Management and sell out
Manages the product portfolios to achieve the strategic plan, meet business objectives and increase the company’s competitive position
Spearheads the creation of Projects that are required to drive our business forward, which may include Process enhancements & new services/solutions offerings
Participates in key strategic and operational decision making that affect the success of the business
Champions all company policies in a lead by example way
Drive excellence and a high performance sales culture by coaching and mentoring team, with timely action on performance issues
Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma and or equivalent required
University education preferred
Requires 10+ years of related experience.
Intimate knowledge of the IT industry, specifically Print required
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other office productsP
