Job description
As the Director, Solution Partners for North America, you will bring your enthusiasm for startups and social business, as well as your experience in growing a partner channel, to join a fast growing company in the social marketing space. Hootsuite is leading the charge for social business, and we are hiring the best talent in the space to further accelerate our growth.
Partners are a key part of Hootsuite’s global strategy to drive adoption of it’s social relationship platform, and become the backbone for social business. Based in Vancouver, and working as part of a global team, the Director, Solution Partners is responsible for building and managing a partner team focused on creating, and managing relationships with Technology Providers, Consultancies, Boutique Agencies and System Integrators in the NA region.
Ideal partners are committed to transforming business for their clients by bringing them services and solutions built around social. This role is a mix of strategic planning & tactical execution and the successful candidate will be a dynamic multi-tasker, who loves overcoming challenges, and is able to embrace change.
The ideal candidate has a history of hiring and motivating a world class team, building pipeline with industry leading partners. They must also have the ability to independently see future opportunities and adjust actions to take advantage of them. This role works closely with both the Managing Director for North America and the VP of Solution Partners, and is part of a global partner team.
Responsibilities:
Recruit and manage a team of partner managers
Identify key industries and leading partner candidates to align with Hootsuite’s brand
Establish relationships with partner companies that are driving transformational change around social business
Aggressively drive partner team and partners to maximize sales & total partner potential through sales training & support
Build referral & revenue-generating relationships with partners
Resolve conflict with regards to account coverage, billing, etc.
Review business on a strategic level and make required adjustments
Identify new opportunities & directions for the Solution Partner Program in the EMEA region
Desired Skills and Experience
10+ years in Channel Partner management
Demonstrated ability to negotiate channel partner agreements
Prior experience managing technology and business consultants
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability as a top producer in a partner or sales role
Web/Marketing technology sales experience is ideal
Consultative selling skills
Bonus Assets:
Familiarity with Digital Transformation concepts and/or Social Business
Sales training certification
Energetic personality
Partnership experience with System Integrators and Boutique Agencies a plus
