Job description
Rogers Media, located at One Mount Pleasant Ave. in Toronto, has an immediate opening for the position of Director, National Sales, reporting directly to the Vice President, Media Sales. The Director, National Sales, will lead a team of Account Managers, to identify opportunities and maximize revenue potential by creating opportunities and sales solutions across content verticals, audience demographics, and digital media lines of business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Account Managers
- Work with the Vice President, Sales and Marketing, to build strategies and execute sales objectives;
- Maintain close relationships with existing clients/agencies and sales to support the sales cycle;
- Work in collaboration with Digital Media content leads to produce sellable programs;
- Adopt aggressive strategies to meet or exceed assigned sales targets through product, sponsorship and program development;
- Contribute positively to the efforts of the Sales Team ensuring that the whole team's goals are met;
- Contribute toward the preparation and execution of client briefings or presentations;
- Prepare and facilitate product/ package proposals for sales;
- Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently;
- Regularly monitors financial performance of all verticals and lines of business and makes proactive decisions to drive additional revenues or meet revenues gaps.
Requirements
- 5-7 years experience at a senior level in digital sales or online advertising.
- Publishing, television or radio sales experience.
- Proven track record of sales success.
- Extensive contacts in the advertising/media sector.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Strong presentation, negotiation and sales skills.
- Highly customer focused.
- Superior computer skills (proficiency in MS-PowerPoint and MS-Excel).
- Superior English communication skills both oral and written. Knowledge of French is an asset.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Excellent interpersonal and effective time management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and be able to work well in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
- Confident and collaborative in working with partners at a senior level.
