Position Overview
The location of this position is flexible dependent on the best candidate. Lead and deliver the continuing development of the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Program across RSA and Johnson, coordinating and consolidating vendors to decrease vendor costs and increase vendor quality, engaging key suppliers and teams across the business, driving change and innovation, and generating financial benefit to directly impact P&L results.

What you will achieve in this role
•Develop a vendor management proposal for Claims nationwide
•Oversee the strategic deployment and tactical execution of the Vendor Management program across the Claims Business which includes RSA and Johnson/Unifund with ownership of circa $280 - $300M in spend under management

•Lead the Vendor Management program in Claims, providing training and coaching on negotiation skills, Contract Management, Compliance to RSA/JI group policies and Supply Chain Management
•Lead the Claims Vendor Management team across both JI/RSA including coaching, performance managing and ensuring delivery of business goals.
•Building the community of Vendor Management within the Claims function to ensure a sharing of best practice across common suppliers and/or categories of spend
•Direct the Vendor Management function whose responsibilities include establishing standards, creating procedures, enforcing compliance
•Engage with Strategic Sourcing to identify and deliver financial savings, added value opportunities and revenue generating opportunities that benefit both RSA/Johnson and the supplier with finance approval for benefits achieved.
•Working with Claims Business Leaders, VM team & Strategic Sourcing Manager to identify and implement appropriate actions to drive continuous improvement and innovation in the claim operation.
•Build required internal reporting mechanisms to track and monitor progress and report compliance, quality and service results
•Identify and develop individual vendor strategies to fulfil business unit requirements, establish performance metrics for vendor scorecards; establish performance metrics for vendor scorecards
•Accountability for ensuring that in-depth analysis of vendor contracts, vendor bills, internal vendor selection and vendor quality and service completed on a regular basis.
•Establish and maintain a Vendor Management database
•Work with Internal Audit to streamline existing billing and information flows while ensuring adequate internal controls
•Achieve SRM Claims plan annually

What you bring to this role
•University Degree or equivalent experience
•Must have Claims and Vendor Management experience
•Min 5 years insurance and/or Supply Chain/Relationship Management
