Director - Business Development - Acuren - Edmonton


Job description
The primary role of the Director, Business Development is to provide leadership with respect to new account sales, proposal development, key client stewardship, marketing and the development of strategic growth initiatives. Assistance with regional business development strategies, and the management of existing national client accounts is an integral part of this role.
Additional responsibilities in this role would include identifying and building strong rapport with key client decision makers, uncovering and leveraging customer and competitor insights, as well as leading prospects through the partnership development lifecycle including service demonstration, contract negotiation, and program implementation.

The Director, BD will develop customer feedback mechanisms to deal effectively with client concerns prior to escalation and will manage the CRM software, development and support. The Director BD is responsible for providing strategic data and industry insights to enhance the opportunity for prospects and will ensure sales and marketing strategies drive increased volume and more competitive proposals. The Director, BD will report to the COO for Acuren Canada.

Desired Skills and Experience
The successful Candidate will ideally have a University degree in a technical field with MBA, more than 10 years of leadership responsibility for sales and marketing in a competitive technical environment, and the demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. Keen analytical skills are complemented by a solid understanding of business metrics and strategy formulation, and proficiency in use of Excel, PowerPoint and CRM software. The ability to travel up to 50% of the time is key to success in this role.
