Director - Digital Media Planning - Mindshare - Toronto

A minimum of eight years’ experience preferred; the Director has the primary responsibility for digital media planning activities on assigned accounts. The Director may serve as the senior client contact on some accounts and will approve digital media plans and key tactics.

Responsibilities:
Intimate understanding of different buying disciplines and provides insight on emerging media
Supervises a group of digital media planning professionals responsible for media plan development
Serves as a key liaison among specialist media groups that contribute to overall digital media plans
Key day-to-day implementation contact for Clients and the Leadership Team
Knowledge of Social, Search and SEO practices and benefits
Passionate advocate of Analytics, data tools and best-in-class reporting
Activates campaigns with knowledge of the Real-Time Buying marketplace (RTB)
Provides input on POVs for new or client requested opportunities
Confidently provides in-depth training and strategic rationale to clients and internal teams across a range of digital disciplines

Set communications objectives for each campaign or plan
Determines appropriate and detailed media mix and budgets for plan implementation, relying on data-driven inputs and aligning to the channel plan and the brief.
Monitors best practices for digital marketing, advising to the senior client level
Identifies, develops and manages large-scale multi-channel opportunities
Collaborates and offers input to creative ideation process for exceptional digital tactics
Tracks and forecasts media investments based on immediate client needs and future goals

Desired Skills and Experience
Systems & Tools:
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Media Tools and Donovan Data Systems is a plus but not required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications
Minimum of eight years’ media experience preferred
Comfortable working with budgets and numbers
Excellent verbal and written skills
Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and detail oriented
