For Sun Life Financial Canada, the Transition segment continues to remain one of the company’s strategic areas of focus with Rollover driving a significant portion of the overall Client Solutions sales.

By taking on this challenging role you will have direct accountability for the success of the Rollover Sales team within the Client Solutions Centre. You will be expected to provide leadership and direction to your sales managers and a growing team of Financial Services Consultants (FSCs) licensed to sell wealth and protection products over the phone in our Client Solutions Centre. As a key contributor to the ongoing success of the Client Solutions Centre in the Client Solutions business unit, you will have the accountability of building a high performing team and creating a work environment with high engagement.

Main Accountabilities:

Achieve Rollover Wealth and Protection sales targets
Achieve additional cross-sell, asset consolidation, and lead generation targets
Maintain and enhance the quality of the client experience during all Rollover touchpoints
Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the Rollover Sales management team and Rollover FSCs
Create and maintain an engaged, high performance culture within the Rollover Sales team
Contribute to the development and execution of the annual CSC strategic and business plans
Drive for continuous improvement in an effort to optimize sales, increase FSC productivity & effectiveness and enhance the client experience
Partner and collaborate with peers in the CSC to manage the daily operations of the Client Solutions Centre, maintain consistency of the client experience across teams, and improve effectiveness of overall CSC operations
Serve as an agent of change and ensure change initiatives are successfully implemented within the Rollover team and CSC
In partnership with our Legal and Compliance colleagues, maintain a strong awareness and understanding of the legislative and regulatory requirements as they pertain to Rollover sales and ensure compliance through processes, scripting, training, systems, and support tools
Partner with the International Investment Centre and Client Solutions Product leaders to ensure that the CSC is up to date on the latest market commentary, fund recommendations, and competitive protection product landscape
Forge and maintain strong partnerships within the GRS and GB units
Ensure customer complaints and escalations are resolved with appropriate priority; serve as an escalation point within the CSC
Accountability for staffing, expense management, succession planning, and overall human resources and talent management

Qualifications:

5 – 10+ years of experience leading and developing people leaders in a sales management capacity
5 – 10+ years of experience in a telephone sales environment (wealth and/or insurance industry preferred)
A strong understanding of the financial services marketplace, including both protection and wealth products
Strong understand of blended outbound and inbound sales strategies
Experience leading a goal-oriented sales team
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams to achieve optimal results
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to influence others and negotiate

Assets:
Bilingualism
A strong understanding of the operational platforms of the Client Solutions business
Undergraduate Business or equivalent university degree or college diploma

Unique Requirements:
This role is located in Toronto however will require occasional travel to Montreal.
